There are now direct flights from New York, Rio De Janeiro and numerous connections to and from the rest of Europe, including and increasing number of low-cost airlines. "Casa da Música" / House of Music
Casa da Música (in english: House of Music) is a major concert hall space in Porto, which houses the cultural institution of the same name with its three orchestras Orquestra Nacional do Porto, Orquestra Barroca and Remix Ensemble. An icon in the city, this irregular-shaped building was designed by world-renowned architect Rem Koolhaas exclusively for musical performances. From outside some have described the building as looking like a meteorite landed in the middle of the city. On the top floor is one of the most sophisticated restaurants in the city, where the EFCAP conference dinner will take place in the evening of Thursday, May 12.
